Michigan Fellows Africa Initiatives (MFAI) Zimbabwe is a chapter under the MFAI fraternity within its operations in Zimbabwe. MFAI-Zimbabwe was formed by Zimbabwe US exchange Professional Fellows Programme (PFP) alumni from Michigan State University (MSU). The MSU fellowship on advancing young women agribusiness, entrepreneurship and innovation was pivotal to connect professional fellows across Africa and like its predecessor MFAI-Uganda the Zimbabwean PFP fellows started MFAI Zimbabwe in 2022.
MFAI-Zimbabwe adopts a Gender Equity and Social Inclusion (GESI) approach that views women and youth as equal partners and places them at the forefront of solving life challenges. The objective is to offer essential technical and soft skills that enable women to earn a decent income, best manage their finances, and provide for their families. We set realistic, measurable, and actionable targets that ensure that we can achieve transformative and sustainable results in Zimbabwe.
