GSA,MFAI formalize partnership

Michigan Fellows Agribusiness Initiative (MFAI) Uganda and Grassroots Strategies Africa (GSA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening the capacities of both organizations in the areas of programing, resource mobilization, research, and advocacy.

Grassroots Strategies Africa (GSA) is a registered youth-led not-for-profit organization in Uganda, and envisions an inclusive, sustainable, and prosperous Africa for all generations, with a mission to engage, inspire, and empower young people, women, and persons with disabilities to break barriers that hinder their participation in developmental processes. GSA’s thematic areas are: youth and women’s empowerment; capacity development on inclusion, research and advocacy for rights of women and persons with disabilities. Through this partnership, MFAI seeks to include persons with disabilities in our programs.

The parties have agreed to undertake joint programming and resource mobilization, and to provide each other with technical support. Parties will leverage the relative strength of each other to work towards creating a greater impact in areas of common interest especially women and youth empowerment, and inclusion of persons with disabilities.
