AgAP

Applications for the AgAP are open twice each year. The AgAP adopts a unique participant selection process that gives the shortlisted applicant the autonomy to select their mentor. The mentors, on the other hand, pitch to the applicants and compete to have the best applicants on their teams.

The AgAP allows for the participation of youth from all East African countries provided that at the time of the training the applicant is a resident in Uganda. Preference is given to women, Persons with Disabilities and youth serving marginalized populations. All project expenses including transports to and from the fellow’s place of residence, utilities, and field visits are fully paid for. The most interesting aspects of the AgAP are; In-class interactions with experts from the private sector and partners at MSU, Minds on the Move(MoM), pitching before the media and investment community, sports, farm visits, and cultural tours. Upon admission in the program, fellows travel to St Lawrence University (SLAU)_the host institution for a week-long highly intense program.
