Diversity and Inclusion Uganda, Ecourse4, Agri innovations Africa
Diversity: We are intentional about the meaningful representation of people from different nationalities, races, professions, experiences, gender, age, religion, socioeconomic status, and abilities as descriptors. Our projects/programs seek to address the dire challenges for women and youth with no regard to the above descriptors.
Inclusion: This means every staff member, beneficiary, and stakeholder feels a sense of belonging. Every person’s self, skills, ideas, and opinions matter and are valuable to our Organisation.
What Diversity and Inclusion mean to us.
At MFAI D&I means meaningful representation of people who are different and feel they belong and are valued.
Our Diversity & Inclusion statement “We all belong” We believe that when people are people included and valued they become more innovative. Consequently, these people’s ability to innovate and meaningfully contribute toward transformation is hampered.

Structure:
Our Board of 12 Directors and management team of 7 staff comprises people from different nationalities, races, professions, experiences, gender, age, religion, socioeconomic status, and abilities. (See organogram). Our BoD and management are diverse by nature of the composition, which positively influences D&I sensitivity at recruitment, training, and follow-ups.
Culture: We uphold human-centred best practices that recognize and value individual differences. We advance equitable interventions that are informed by individual and institutional priority needs. To ensure that all stakeholders feel a sense of belonging, we create space for expression, participation, and meaningful staff engagement in D&I such as through conversations, meetings, and workshops.
Practice: Our projects and programs by nature of their objectives seek to generate diverse, inclusive, equitable and sustainable outcomes.
Policy: We are currently developing a standard policy. The policy will guide how D&I sensitivities will be integrated in management, administration, programming and learning.
